Hubungan Antara Pengetahuan Masyarakat dengan Kepatuhan Penggunaan Masker sebagai Upaya Pencegahan Covid 19 di Desa Suluun Empat Kecamatan Suluun Tareran Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan

Abstract

Covid-19 is threatening the world with its rapid spread in the community. Efforts to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19 require good knowledge and understanding, including all elements of society. The use of masks during the Covid-19 pandemic is very important to protect yourself and others from the risk of transmitting this virus. This study aims to determine the relationship between public knowledge and compliance with the use of masks in Suluun Empat Village, Suluun Tareran District, South Minahasa Regency. This research is a kind of quantitative research with correlation analysis method and cross sectional approach. The results showed that the correlation coefficient was 0.575 with a significance value of p value 0.000 and based on the Chi Square test, the significance value between public knowledge and compliance with the use of masks was 0.000 (p <0.05). From the results of the
study, it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship (p value = 0.000) between public knowledge and compliance with the use of masks as an effort to prevent Covid-19 in Suluun Empat Village, Suluun Tareran District, South Minahasa Regency.
